| sewhelpful! We have been sewing in Kingston since 1996 as qualified apparel designers and custom manufacturer's. In 2006, we opened our retail division sewhelpful! to include alterations & repairs and classes to the public. sewhelpful!'s mission is to provide leadership, professionalism and viable employment in the apparel sewing industry in Canada, through a sustainable micro-manufacturing model. sewhelpful!'s competitive advantage is it's experience and knowledge in home sewing, apparel design and industrial manufacturing. Trained as a fashion designer, Lynda Prescod has worked in the industry since 1988. She has run her own manufacturing factory, designed, produced, wholesaled and retailed, LMNOP & Funkee Monkee. Successfully branded a line of children's clothing, taught sewing classes for the City of Kingston & Home Schooled Children, as well as private clients. Lynda's understanding of all aspects of the sewing trade, coupled with her business experience and creative ability places her in a leading role to bring change and innovation to a challenged sewing tradein the Canadian economy.
